It's Freebie Friday!

Happy Friday!

These are two of the games we play in one of our math units. The focus of the games is to help students explore combinations of numbers. We use 2 colored counters with both games. I fancied up the recording sheets so I could share them with you. You can click on the images below to download the games.  I love comments and new followers!  If it's your first visit, please consider following.

Enjoy your weekend!

  1. Thanks for sharing both of these math activities! They are great and fit right in with what we do at the beginning of the year! What math series does your district use?

  2. Grabbed these up from you. Thanks so much. I am a new follower. This will be great as I already have those red/yellow counters!

  5. Thanks! We do the same game with pennies and do "Heads and Tails". This will be a great variation to use with my kids!

Also, silly question...I'm just learning to make my own worksheets and activities. What do you use to create yours? Publisher? Thanks! :)

  8. Thanks! The first game reminds of Spill the Counters. Heidi at Swamp Frog First Graders has Spill the Counters gameboards for other combinations. You may be able to use some of hers, too, for differentiation.

  13. This is the right blog for anyone who wants to find out about this topic. You realize so much its almost hard to argue with you (not that I actually would want? Ha-ha). You definitely put a new spin on Shopping Cart Hero Game that’s been written about for years. Great stuff, just great!
